First and foremost, Lelouch's entire reason for living is for Nunnally. Without her, there would be no Zero and there would be no reformation of the world. He wouldn't have renounced his title after the death of his mother. To remove Nunnally from the equation is to completely alter his entire character (which does happen in the first couple of episodes in r2 after he gets his memories altered). In her "death", he cares so little about his life that he almost allows himself to get killed. When she's revealed to not be dead is when he has a crisis of faith, seeing as how they were on opposite sides of the battlefield. But that's a little further up from where I'm taking him. He cares so deeply about her that it could be considered a flaw.
That isn't to say that he doesn't care about others, though. Those he considers his friends are people that he would absolutely protect no matter the cost to himself. Even as Zero, he always tried to ensure the safety of his school, and most important, the student council. He risked his own life and reputation to save Suzaku multiple times. Though he might seem unfriendly at times and neutral to how he feels about them outwardly, he holds a few people very close in his heart. It's these close ties and the people who die along the way that keeps him going when Nunnally "dies" or when she inadvertently gets in his way to his path of destruction. While his priority will always be Nunnally, he mentions that Euphie, Shirley, and Rolo are also those that he considers pushing him on, as he doesn't want their deaths to be in vain.
Outside of that, for some he has basic human decency. For others (mostly Britannians), his patience runs much shorter. Their habits and demeanor towards others that they think are lesser than them is what bothers him most. Superiority for the sake of it bothers him beyond compare, and he lashes out at random civilians a couple of times throughout the series because of it. He views some others more as tools than human beings to get what he wants, as he treated Rolo. He had led the boy on by building him a fake family... when in reality, he wanted him dead and gone from his life.
Speaking of manipulation, even without his Geass, Lelouch is good at it. He knows how to lead a group of people, unite them and encourage them to follow him. Even if it takes some convincing, like the Black Knights, he manages to do it and even keep his hold on them until Schneizel interfered. He knows how to find people's weaknesses and use them to his own advantage, again, using Rolo as an example. It only took reading his file to consider that it was most likely familial bonding that would be his weak point and took advantage of it.
He's not just a genius when it comes to manipulation. Lelouch is academically inclined and also is a brilliant tactician. Most of the time, he has no equal, and he knows it. It makes him arrogant and sloppy at times, which can easily be pierced by the correct person. When he doesn't get his way or when he gets interrupted in his plans is when he loses his temper the most and things get thrown (no really). Outside of that, it's not always easy to get under his skin, unless you're a member of the royal family. And then he hates almost all of them just on principle.
Outside of all of this, outside of being Zero, Lelouch as an individual going to school and everything is remarked on being really lazy. He also comes across not caring as much about things as he does, as Shirley remarks once. She'd told a story of him breaking up an argument without fanfare and just went about his day as normal, with the same bored expression on his face. And even with all his knowledge on people and how to manipulate them, he still doesn't actually understand them on a basic social level. Since he overthinks everything he does, a "simple" interaction with his friends becomes more complicated or flat out wrong. He's able to aggravate Shirley more than once just from that fact when instead he could've been more straightforward. He's also not athletic at all, and can't even run five feet without getting winded.
Even though he calls for violence and sees violence often, carrying it out for himself physically is difficult. Not just because he's a wimp. The first time he kills, he physically gets ill at the very thought of shooting him. He later counteracts with the thought that this is necessary, though he very rarely performs these acts of violence for himself.

taken from wiki:
Lelouch was born on December 5, 1999 a.t.b. as Lelouch vi Britannia the son of the Emperor of Britannia, Charles zi Britannia, and the late Imperial Consort Marianne, making Lelouch the Eleventh Prince of the Holy Britannian Empire. He was in line to be the seventeenth heir to the throne prior to his mother's assassination and his sister's crippling in the same incident. A ten-year-old Lelouch confronted the Emperor afterwards and accused him of leaving his mother defenseless, even going as far as renouncing his entitlement to the throne. In response, his father banished him to Japan, where he was used as a political hostage in the Sakuradite conflict.
It was during his stay at the Kururugi household that he first met Suzaku Kururugi, with whom the young Lelouch did not interact initially in a friendly way, before later becoming friends. However, when Britannia finally developed its Knightmare Frames fleet and decided to invade Japan to seize control of the Sakuradite mines, consequently discarding Lelouch's use as a diplomatic tool, Lelouch, fearing for his and his sister's safety, hid their true identities and sought the help of the Ashford family, who were his mother's allies.
His mother's death and his father's apparent lack of concern in regards to it were huge blows to Lelouch. He always felt that it was unfair for both his mother and sister, and made it his goal to pursue a better world for Nunnally. He also seeks to discover the true reason for his mother's death, as she was murdered in the Aries Imperial Palace, a place terrorists would be unlikely to penetrate successfully without being noticed, if at all.
Shortly after gaining the power of Geass from C.C., Lelouch assumes the secret identity Zero, a mysterious, masked revolutionary dressed in a black helmet and cloak. The helmet has a retractable plate over the left eye so Lelouch can use his Geass. In this guise, he forms the Black Knights, initially composed of the members of Kaname Ohgi's resistance group. The goal of this vigilante group is a campaign against powerful individuals who oppress the helpless, which he eventually expands into reforming Japan as an independent nation.

ABILITIES
GEASS
Lelouch's Geass, bestowed upon him by C.C., gives him "The Power of Absolute Obedience", allowing him to plant commands within a person's mind upon eye contact in a manner comparable to hypnosis. Activation of his Geass is visually represented by the manifestation of a Geass Sigil in his left eye. Commands dictated in this state are written into the minds of the designated targets once the Sigil projects from his eye to theirs. Lelouch could initially toggle Geass activation at will, but subsequently lost this control and suffered from an affliction known as "runaway Geass" near the end of the first series.
In the second season, C.C. gives Lelouch a contact lens that blocks his Geass, but indicates that his Geass will eventually grow powerful enough to render it ineffective. Lelouch's Geass evolves to cover both of his eyes in episode 21 as a result of pushing his Geass to the limit, trying to command C's World, the collective unconscious of mankind itself. He receives a second contact lens to cover it later.
STRATEGY
Even without his Geass, Lelouch is a formidable opponent. His greatest weapon is his prodigious mind, possessing a genius-level intellect, and is capable of devising and executing strategies with incredible speed and precision. The series repeatedly demonstrates Lelouch's mental acuity; ranging from his superb skill in playing chess, to an incident in Stage 14, when Mao says C.C.'s name, Lelouch instantly comes up with fourteen different possibilities for Mao's identity - including the correct one. His intellect is also shown when he was able to program the F.L.E.I.J.A. countermeasure in 19 seconds typing at an incredibly fast speed.
PHYSICAL
Physically, Lelouch is underwhelming. He possesses the physical prowess of a teenager who engages in little to no strenuous physical activity. Thus, one of Lelouch's traits is the inability to run very fast or for any substantial period of time.
